Awards and Recognition

The Land Board has received many awards through out the years, and we are very proud of them all.
  • 2022 - in the state digital services competition “Su / g 2022” the 3D map application of the Land Board was recognized as the best service based on the use of data.

  • 2021 - At the Esri users' conference, the results of the Land Board in creating the three-dimensional (3D) digital twin data of the whole of Estonia and making them available as open data were recognized as worthy of the GIS Act of the Year award.

  • 2020 - under the auspices of MTÜ Open Knowledge Estonia, the Estonian open data community nominated the Land Board as the best open data provider of 2019.

  • 2018 - The Estonian Orienteering Association commended the Land Board for improving the availability of spatial data, when spatial data was changed to open data under the auspices of the Land Board, which means that various map data are free and machine readable, enabling new spatial data solutions.

  • 2016 - At the Esri users' conference, the project for the renewal of spatial data services implemented on the initiative of the Land Board was recognized as worthy of the GIS Act of the Year award.

  • 2014 - The Land Board's web map of watercourses was recognized as the best online map at the conference "Through GIS geography".
  • 2014 - Statistics Estonia chose the Land Board as a database partner and as a model for other databases for co-operation in submitting, organizing and creating systematic data.
  • 2013 - The printing card designed by the Land Board won first place at the Esri International Conference.

  • 2012 - at the geoinformation conference in Tallinn, the Estonian geoportal was awarded the best geoinformation work in Estonia.

  • 2010 - Esri, the world's largest manufacturer of geoinformation software, recognized the Land Board for its very good results in the development and use of the geographic information system.
