Place names register

The Place Names Register (PNR) is a national register which is aimed to collect and register Estonian geographical place names for preserving these as national heritage as well as for using them in different information systems.

It contains not only official place names, but also non-official and historical ones.

PNR was established in 1998, since 2008 the Land Board has been authorized to maintain the register.

Interfaces of the services are available both in the Estonian and English languages.
